The Olephin Market is ............. busy (?)

Plastemart is an Indian-based website that has a steady stream of news on the commodity markets. There is a very large number of items today regarding olephins. Just look at these headlines:
So today's lesson in arbitrage is to buy it in Italy and sell it in the Mediterranean (Turkey and Egypt) - or else Mexico.

Hi, John!

I've always spelled it olefin. Google gives 7,680 hits for the "ph" spelling and 14,000,000 for the "f" variant. One online dictionary gives the derivation as "[from French oléfiant, ultimately from Latin oleum oil + facere to make]", so I believe I'll continue to use the "f" spelling.

Still, as Ol' Hickory supposedly said, "It's a poor speller that can only spell a word one way."

Regards,

Frank

As you can see, spelling was never a strong point in my education. At least I can do a better job spelling sulphur!
