This echoes the position that I took less than 2 weeks ago, that petroleum will disappear, but polyethylene production won't. Polyethylene and polypropylene are here to stay.

A Portfolio of Biobased PE and PP
Plastemart is reporting that SABIC is getting ready to launch its first portfolio of certified renewable polyolefins.
